Big news! Target is planning on selling another designer collection, and this time it's Jean Paul Gaultier! Although affordable fashion is one of the greatest leaps the retail industry has made in years, is it still fabulous, or just getting old? Cast your vote below.

English import Alexa Chung is a welcome addition to the throngs of American fashionistas...well, actually, she stands out from the throngs, she is a leader. A former model, it's no wonder she looks so stunning in practically anything she puts on, from a periwinkle blue cocktail dress to a cutoff jean shorts and ankle booties (sooo off-duty model style, btw). Loooove!

It seemed to me an uncanny similarity. Someone please tell me I'm not the only one.
When I read in nymag's blog The Cut that Carli Bruni is not the most stylish Parsienne, I was not surprised - she plays it waaaay too safe...and too ladylike for fashion's current slutty/grungy/off-duty-model vibe. The winner in french newspaper Le Figaro's poll is none other than Inés de la Fressange. Here's to proof that style is timeless...not to mention ageless. She's 52 years old and rocking it.
My kind of girl.

Stella McCartney Paris Store Opening
It was love at first sight. I stopped by H&M one Friday afternoon, and found this gem of a winter short. In Chanel-esque tweed with trendy black studs around the pockets, they look AWESOME with opaque black tights, heels, and perhaps a slouchy grey tank tucked in. I would know, since I wore this exact ensemble last Saturday night (p.s. I rocked it!). They are quite short, which makes them more of an evening/party short, but the tweed fabric is substantial enough to pull a classy look together, and with a casual top you won't get too risqué.
I believe this short is now sold out at most H&M stores in NYC, but stop by and check if you can - I believe it's only about $39.99 (not sure since I already threw away the tag), which is a STEAL.
I am so in love with winter shorts right now! More winter shorts looks to come...
Read about this DIY site in Fashionista yesterday, it's called PS I Made This. If you're anything like me and don't mind getting a little crafty with your clothes & accessories, you must check this out!
There is something about those first few crisp days of fall. This October day was particularly beautiful, so my boyfriend, dog & I headed to Central Park. Even though the leaves haven't turned yet here in New York, I was inspired by the browns, tans, rusts, and warm tones associated with this time of year.

Love the way this photo caught my dog's ears in the air! He's flying!

The warm tones of Autumn are so easy to blend; they really came out well in this photo taken in the sunlight.

This filson bag is a classic, and will never go out of style. And it's the perfect size to hold my magazines.

Passed this doorway on the way to the park. Loved the animal carvings. They don't make buildings like this anymore!

Dog & rabbit carvings close up.
